Brexit: All you need to know about the UK leaving the EU

There are a lot of questions about BREXIT.

  • What is BREXIT?
  • What exactly does the EU do?
  • Who voted to leave the EU and why?
  • How will the EU breakup 43-years of treaties?
All of these are great questions.  I found this article easy to read and it gave me a solid overview of what to expect. We will try to post some definitions and maps this week to help as well.  I invite you to read this article as a jumping off point on this subject. More to come...

  1. Ironically, I was under the misconception that the EU formation was a recent thing. I was very wrong on that topic. I think my conception was based on when they switched their monetary standard versus when the EU was formed. Matter of fact I know it was. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro It is something I personally never thought to check on to know that it was more than a currency change. Did they drop the currency as well?

    1. I believe it is still the pound. The debate is more about how leaving the EU will affect the value of the pound. To help put this in perspective, I have added a link to a the currency encyclopedia http://www.xe.com/currency/gbp-british-pound. -Sacha B.
